May Day/Daymaker Day

Celebrated my birthday today with all our friends at Haleakala Waldorf School May Day. So beautiful!!!

We had such a great time this weekend. We spent the week in MN so the girls could see their new schools and I went to Mayo for my 3 month check up. All is perfect. We decided to take the ferry to Lanai and have some downtime before packing up the house etc. and getting ready for our move back in June. Lanai was so great, we spent time body surfing and snorkeling and just having a laid back time. Funny how busy maui seems compared to the island of Lanai? While we were there we experienced a daughter that was bringing both her parents out in the bay to spread their ashes. You can see them in the ti leaves in the boat. They launched the boats, did some beautiful chants and through flowers into he see along with the ashes. Quite a reminder of how short life is. This weekend was also the two year anniversary of me having my first round of chemotherapy. Seems like another lifetime now and so glad to be healthy and alive.
